Social Correspondence Chess Association
The SCCA is an organisation that was formed to provide correspondence chess for players of all standards. Formed in 1940, the SCCA has served the correspondence chess community for over 70 years, although now of course it is mainly through the medium of email or webserver.
Members may play in a variety of club tournaments that include the Club Championship, Continuous Tournaments and Knockout Competitions. SCCA teams play in many competitions, including the British Correspondence Chess Team Championship, British Correspondence Chess League, the Scottish League, and the SchemingMind Standard Chess League.
The SCCA is a founder member of the British Federation of Correspondence Chess (BFCC). This allows members to play in both National Tournaments through the BFCC and International Tournaments through the International Correspondence Chess Federation (ICCF)
