Biography
I am a 45-yoa former international sceince journalist who specialized in emerging disease outbreaks and the health impacts of armed conflict. I was sidelined in 2000 by a series of health issue which began with a simple herniated disk. Four years and two dozen surgeries down the road now, I am medically disabled but finally able to spend some time enjoying hobbies such as chess.
