Most people complain that their hobbies interfere with their life, but chessplayers complain about how life interferes with their hobby. I'm one of those.
I have too little time to play chess, but I try. I play to improve and although it is said one learns more from losing, I do enjoy winning!
Among my favorite chess players - but again I have too little time to study any of them in detail - are Lasker, Alekhine, Capablanca, and nowadays Kramnik (also for his off-the-board gentlemanly behaviour).
