Nc6 { Austin Lockwood: Good luck - Alice is one of my favourite games, but also one of the hardest to play imo... } 2. Qxd7 { renegade: has the site been down today? i've been trying to get in since the morning, and there wasn't a specific message on the home page, or anything in the announcements forum. was it just me? } 2... Nxd4 { Austin Lockwood: That's the advantage that 'commercial' sites have. When something goes wrong they can start to work on it right away and get messages and stuff posted... but when you've got to work all day and then come home to a house of screaming kids and have to take them to brownies and swimming lessons it's not so easy to respond that quickly! Actually it took me all of five minutes to fix the problem when I'd figured out what it was - it took me another three hours to get around to posting an apology in the forum :-( } 3. Qa4# { renegade: nevermind, no harm done. i've not read the forum yet, but have you considered setting up some sort of remotely hosted forum, with a link from your homepage. then, people like me can ask each other stupid questions like "where is the chess?" I haven't thought it through properly. i've just spent over 5 hours listing things on ebay. i have a history of nearly 30 purchases and only 1 previous sale. today is 5p day and i'm getting rid of most of my dvds and pc games, with a 1p start and free p&p (just to see how well they do, not to make money). last time i did that i sold for 33p and paid the 70p P&P myself!! nothing quite like a net loss, when selling stuff. } { renegade: what!!! i didn't expect that!. i'm so sorry, i was looking forward to a loooooong game. oh, hang it!!! } 1-0
