Bg4 10. f3 Bd7 { Dragon Fire: OK, lets try and get you out of the main book line. } 11. cxd4 { jonjenson: well you have done that im not familiar with this line } 11... exd4 { Dragon Fire: I'm pleased to here that as if I'd followed the main line and allowed BXb5 everything seems to point towards a hard but winning defence from white. I think this line is less clear but I'm still a N for a P down albeit with a massive development advantage, so its your game to lose. } 12. Qe2+ { jonjenson: i had 3 or 4 options but this simple move i nearly overlooked seems the best i think ? lets see } 12... Be7 { Dragon Fire: I though Qe2 was obviously best. I never expected anything else but I am battling to continue my attack now and I look to be a lot down for not enough. } 13. Qe4 c6 14. Bxb5 f5 { jonjenson: i hope it is complicated enough for you. i was reading some where to try and beat stronger opponents than yourself was to play your own style and be aggressive as you can i hope this is the case } { Dragon Fire: Off to our cottage in St Ives, Cornwall again for another week. Be back next Sunday (maybe!). } 15. Qxh4 Bxh4 { Dragon Fire: I have tried this line with reasonably good success OTB where frequently the best line 6.Bf1!! is not played. On-line of course where you can research lines and spend as much time as is needed in finding the best response the game is harder for black. } { jonjenson: i agree with what you say about OTB where frequently the best line 6.Bf1!! is not played. But i have a book by Jan Pinski on the 2 knights defence and the Berliner Variation is in it i have had some good results with it and he seems to think it is virtually winning with white with good play } 16. Ba4 f4 { Dragon Fire: I have a book by Jozsek Palkovi on the 2 Knights which we followed up to move 10 where the recommended line was 10....e4! but this line left white a clear pawn up and probably won hence my deviation. I agree white is deinately better but the game is sharp and black has chances. } 17. O-O fxg3 18. Na3 gxh2+ 19. Kxh2 O-O { Dragon Fire: I considered your PM carefully but I feel both games still have too much to play for. I am equal on material here now and ahead in development. I can't complain! } 20.
