The chip under the small fan on the amd boards. } 6... cxb5 7. b3 { Madocillo: Hi cnbcad, I am not sure if I get you right. Were your power supply struck by lightning, or what?! } { cnbcad: no, the front side bus and onboard video chip melted. there is a heat sink and small fan mounted on the system board for them and the fan failed. the labeling ect was cracked from the heat. } 7... Bxf3 8. Qxf3 { Madocillo: For me computers are a mystery. But in the past I have been lucky in comparison. I never faced a crash like this. } { cnbcad: before i became disabled, i worked in the computer industry. started out on mainframe programing in mid eighties, then in early nineties did a one eighty and went into pc hardware and then later added some web design and software quality control. to learn the hardware on pc's i went out and bought the parts to build five used old and slow machines and built a home network; back when it was still tuff to find network cards for that.. spent three months playing on it and went and took tests for network engineer certification, then couple others. my daughters got thier own computers at the age of three cuz i needed them in the network lol... can build a machine in forty five min. now. lol. that first one took three weeks. :) } 8... Nf6 9. Qxa8 { Madocillo: Wow, sounds like you've gone through a tough practical education regarding the computer and network field. I am more or less one of the know-nothings, when it comes to technics. But as I said, I have been lucky so far. } 1-0
